Republicans Launch Ad Campaign Calling Out Democrats And Union Bullies

San Diego, CA - Expressing dismay at the continued stalled budget in Sacramento, Chairman Tony Krvaric praised the California Republican Party's launch of a television ad campaign, calling out Democrat legislators and public employee labor union bosses in Sacramento, which continue to thumb their collective noses at the will of the people of California, which is clearly demanding that the state live within its means.

The campaign will feature two television ads, including one newly released ad entitled "Meaningless" and the previosly released "Budget Bully", both of which urge Californians to call Assembly Speaker Karen Bass at (916) 319-2047 and Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg at (916) 651-4006 and tell them to live within their means.

"We are only days away from the state having to issue IOUs, but Democrat legislators and public employee labor union bosses in Sacramento continue to argue for higher taxes and fees on hard working Californians, rather than reforming our state government and make the difficult decisions regular Californians are being forced to make each and every day. Their arrogance is astounding, said Chairman Krvaric."

"The only ones standing up for taxpayers in Sacramento are the Republican legislators in the Assembly and the Senate, as well as Governor Schwarzenegger who has promised to veto any bill containing higher taxes and fees, or any bill seeking to do so with less than a 2/3 vote, Krvaric concluded."

Liberal Translation Guide for Obama's Government-Takeover-Of-Healthcare Infomercial

San Diego, CA - Having lived under, and experienced, government-run healthcare in his native country of Sweden, Republican Party of San Diego County Chairman Tony Krvaric today released the following statement, in response to tonight's upcoming one-sided government-takeover-of-healthcare infomercial:

"Growing up in Sweden - a country often held up as a model for a government-run healthcare - I can personally attest to the fact that such systems only provide one thing; equally poor, rationed healthcare for everyone except those well-off enough to buy their way out it - not unlike what's happening with public education in our country. In America we understand that the best solutions come from the private sector - not the government.

"As a matter of fact, whatever the government touches or provides ends up costing twice as much, with about half the quality - at best. The real solution to lowering the cost of healthcare and making it more accessible is to provide more competition and to reform medical liabilty laws to discourage junk lawsuits, Krvaric concluded."

To help Americans thoroughly understand tonight's infomercial for government-run healthcare, the RNC has compiled this Liberal Translation Guide.

Republicans Launch Video Campaign Calling Out Union Bullies

San Diego, CA - Recognizing the hardships hardworking Californians are enduring, the California Republican Party today launched a major video campaign aimed at protecting the interests of taxpayers in the looming Sacramento budget battle.

Tony Krvaric, Chairman of the Republican Party of San Diego County issued the following statement on the heels of the launch of the campaign:

"When literally every county in the state rejected the tax increases in the May 19th special election - representing nearly 2/3 of Californians - one has to be pretty tone deaf not to get the message of 'no new taxes' and 'live within your means. Sadly, the Democrat-controlled legislature continues unabated in its push for more taxes and fees on Californians, just like their public employee labor union bosses demand of them.

"The campaign being launched today exposes the stranglehold that public employee labor union bosses hold on our state legislature. The ad features one SEIU leader lecturing and threatening legislators, and is quoted saying 'We helped get you in to office' and 'We'll help to get you out of office.' These kinds of mafia style tactics go on each and every day in Sacramento and it's time that someone stood up for taxpayers.

"As a Republican leader, I am proud that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Senate Republican Leader Dennis Hollingsworth and Assembly Republican Leader Sam Blakeslee are siding with taxpayers, making it abundantly clear: no new taxes, no new fees!

"This campaign urges all Californians to call Assembly Speaker Karen Bass at (916) 319-2047 and Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg at (916) 651-4006 and tell them 'It's time to stand up to the union bullies!'"
